Volunteering

C.O.R.I. Requirements
It is the policy of the Arlington Public Schools to obtain all available Criminal Offender Record Information (C.O.R.I.) from the criminal history systems board of prospective employee(s) or volunteer(s) of the school department including any individual who regularly provides school related transportation to children, who may have direct and unmonitored contact with children, prior to hiring the employee(s) or to accepting any person as a volunteer. Refer to School Committee Policy ADDA concerning C.O.R.I. Requirements
**Please make sure to fill out a CORI form in the office before you volunteer at the school**

We have several opportunities for parent-volunteers both in the classroom and at home. If you are able to donate some of your time during the school day to come into the classroom and help, that is greatly appreciated! If you aren't able to volunteer at school but are interested in being a "Home Helper" which could be taking home a project I have like some cutting, gluing, coloring, etc., that is also a big help! If you are able to commit to coming weekly that is great, if you can only come once and a while that is great too!
We have our "Mystery Reader" on Fridays from 11:45-12:00 you may choose a book or two from home or you may pick some from our classroom library. Please remember that this is a secret, the kids love trying to guess who is coming in that day! If you are interested in volunteering for to help with literacy centers, math centers or to be the mystery reader please sign up on our volunteerspot.com page click the button below!
