Miss Flynn got married!!

Ocean Bulletin Board

This week we started reading the 9th Magic Tree House book "Dolphins at Daybreak". I found two cute activities on other teachers blogs Shenanigan's in Second and Mrs. Tucker and kind of combined them into my own bulletin board idea...it came out really cute and the kids got a big kick out of it!

Exploring with Magnets

Today with our 5th grade buddies we got to explore with Magnets! We will be doing more experiments and activities with Magnets in the next few weeks. Ask your child what they noticed and learned today about magnets.

Earth, Moon & Sun Song

We learned a new song today called the "Earth, Moon & Sun Song" it is sung to the tune of Farmer and the Dell. It goes, "The earth turns around, the earth turns around. Once a day, every day, the earth turns around. The moon goes 'round the earth, the moon goes 'round the earth. Once a month, every month, the moon goes 'round the earth. The earth goes 'round the sun, the earth goes 'round the sun. Once a year, every year, the earth goes 'round the sun." Thank you to My Montessori Journey for the cute idea! Mars Art Project

Today we did a cool "Fun Friday Art Project" where we got to squish paint around underneath some cellophane to make Mars or the Sun! they came out so pretty! We hung them up on the bulletin board out in the hallway for everyone to see. Thanks to Charlotte's mom for volunteering to help us out with the project today!! Thank you Mrs Karen for the great idea!!
