The Three Little Pigs
On Monday, we started to make props for our new fairy tale for the week: "The Three Little Pigs". Some students made the house made from sticks.
Others made pig puppets...
And some made the house made from bricks.
Dramatizing the stories out helps the children follow directions, work together in a group, wait their turn and it also helps them improve their play and make it more meaningful!

Dramatizing "Goldilocks and the Three Bears"
Last week we dramatized the fairy tale "Goldilocks and the Three Bears" on Monday, we make the props for our new story and Tuesday-Friday each group gets to dramatize the story a different way using different props each day. Our team captain shuffles the different role cards and passes them out to their group members and each person takes on that role. After the group dramatizes the story once, the team captain shuffles the role cards again and hands them out for the second round of dramatizing!

Graphics Practice
Today we learned a new graphic. We made "pebbles" that will help us when we make the letters: O, Q and the number 0. We always start at the top and go to the right, while we make the pebbles we say "around, close". When the music stops playing we have to raise our hand with the dry erase marker, when the music starts then we can keep making pebbles. Ask your child what other graphics we have learned and what we say while we make them!
